Rineke Dijkstra, born 1959. A Dutch photographer, Dijkstra specialises in single portraits and works in series, looking at groups such as adolescents, soldiers, clubbers etc. Below are two photographs from two of her projects, Beach Portraits (1992) and in another small project Dijkstra took portrait photos of three women who had just given birth within a short time of each other and all were friends of the artist.
