Notes on, and in addition to, video tutorial [my notes in italics]
This project is built on your interest into the mask. You have utilised contacts to create a social project that incorporates selfies. It’s a decent introduction to social art practice. The responses are varied and leave us wanting more. Volume seems key to the project.
You recommended re-presenting my project as more like an art presentation with a short statement; perhaps in the third person stating; what it is = selfies; created by the people; what I asked; what the results were; dating the project 2020-2021 to contextualise the images with the COVID pandemic lockdown / isolation.
Present it as an art piece created in, and responding to, the current situation. As always, reference it with best practice – look at L3 students and contemporary practitioners.
You suggested that my project could continue by trying to get more people involved, more students perhaps and the general public, using social media platforms such as Instagram. You showed me your own work on Instagram and Lynda Huit. [Kuit]
Instagram, with its clean look and format that highlights multiplicity could be a useful tool. Basically, evaluate its use to you.
You liked my Log-line, a quotation from Nietzsche and the short pitch beneath it, but to replace the essay with the short statement and place the essay on another page / blog.
The Nietzsche quote sets up the project neatly I think.
Level 3 – speak to Dan.
I let you know that I have a questionnaire to complete regarding your suitability for L3 study and that I have no qualms. Reading has informed your progress.
